  Why don't try a simple but really effective concept: "Use the vocal capacities of your smartphone in both ways". Then, you can talk to the application and it answers, the same way, giving you the information you need when you wake up.
  Indeed, you can stop the alarm clock just saying "STOP" once the alarms ring out. Then, the app can be programmed to speak to you, telling you a custom message, weather forecast, or the latest news.
