Crowdin is an established, privately held, profitable company based in Ukraine.
We are always customer-centric, we're working hard to get thousands of companies around the world to forget about problems with localization.

We are trying to build a company we'd like to do business with ourselves. We aim to WOW you through our support and outstanding user experience, be a company that's human, respectful, transparent, inclusive, socially and environmentally conscious.

Our mission is to make translation and localization as easy as possible for lots of people.

Our Story

Crowdin launched in 2009, but our story started a years earlier.

In early 2006 we were faced the localization problem for the first time. There were a number of tools on the market to manage localization process and make translations, but there were no solution. Either the interface made your eyes bleed or you needed to heavy customize it to make it to do what it should and the biggest problem is that you have to read a lot of documentations just to know how to translate simple file. After trying everything under the sun and coming up empty, we saw an opportunity.

After nearly three years of development, the public beta of Crowdin was launched in January 2009 and quickly attracted more users than any other online localization solution. Over a thousand companies opened Crowdin accounts in our first year – making Crowdin the leading and fastest growing service of its kind.

We built Crowdin for ourselves, knowing there had to be other companies who may has our problems.
